    Would you like to be a key team player of the fastest growing currency supplier in the world? Crane Currency in Tumba, Sweden, is now looking for a Quality Laboratory Manager.


    At the Quality Department we actively work with quality throughout the whole paper mill. The lab is part of the Quality Department where large parts of both quality control and quality assurance is done.


    In this role as Quality Laboratory Manager, you will together with your 4 employees actively work to ensure our product quality and contribute to its development. You formulate, develop and implement methods and procedures for the Lab that allows Crane to maximize performance and profit according to commercial, production and profitability goals. You develop your processes with a focus on increased quality, productivity and cost effectiveness. You will lead and develop the Lab to an organization that is characterized by high technical proficiency and skills, high motivation and a commercial thinking at every stage. You are responsible for the overall Lab and lead your team as a natural leader. Reporting to the quality Manager.


    Key responsibilities:

    • Analyze, plan and solve problems from a tactical perspective and contribute to effective decision-making for the Lab and for Crane
    • Responsible for ensuring that the correct analyze methods are implemented and used properly.
    • Lead investigative work regarding supplier claims
    • Ensure the correct prioritization of testing and development is applied to the unit in order to meet customer and regulatory requirements
    • Ensure that the laboratory is properly equipped by initiating, developing and validating new methods of analysis, and to calibrate and perform service on the instrument
    • Participate in quality work at customer inspection
    • Participate in preparation of production work concerning testing
    • Support in product and process development process driven by other parts of the company
    • Establish procedures and working practices within the unit lab that leads to continuous improvement and work according to LEAN principles
    • Support management and operators at the cotton and pulp processing in daily governance and improvement meetings


    We are looking for someone who has;

    • Bachelor or equivalent degree, with chemical orientation
    • Deep expertise in paper testing and analysis (or similar)
    • Experience of developing analytical methods
    • Operational and management experience in a laboratory, minimum 3 years
    • Experience from managerial positions, at least 5 years
    • Very good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken)
    • Meritorious; experience with LEAN work and continuous improvement
